Online Accounts | Sony Starts To Restore PlayStation Service In Asia

NEW YORK – Sony has started restoring access to its PlayStation Network and Qriocity film and song service in Japan and elsewhere in Asia. The firm close down the services in April after a large safety crack that affected more than 100 million online accounts.

The firm started restoring service in the U.S. and Europe on May 15. Sony Corp. mentioned Friday it is commencement a phased replacement of the service in Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and elsewhere in Middle East on Saturday. Video diversion consoles such as the PlayStation are effectively criminialized in China.
Sony says it has updated “considerable” safety enhancements to its service. In the initial stage of the network restoration, the PlayStation online store and any other service that involves a credit card contract won’t be available.
